Satyagraha House
As the home of Mohandas Gandhi from 1908 to 1909, Satyagraha House in Johannesburg's Orchards suburb is part of the country's historical heritage. The African homestead, or kraal, architecture has an innovative guesthouse and museum concept. The museum retraces Gandhi’s South African experiences and lends a peaceful, meditative aura to 7 rooms found in the original house, the cottage added later, and wing built in 2010.
