Château des Grotteaux
Built in 1620 on the banks of the river Cosson (a few kilometers downstream from Chambord), the château des Grotteaux is a jewel of the 17e century architecture. The 33 hectares park is listed in the national inventory of historical monuments, and is enclosed by walls which provide a rare haven of peace. A walk in the park and the woods to watch animals, pick mushrooms, admire the rare species of plants is a most enjoyable pastime. The restoration carried out in 2015 and 2016 has renewed its luster of yesterday and made it possible to provide luxury accommodation.
